Overview

AdigaWords is a word-search puzzle game designed to help users learn Adyghe (Circassian) vocabulary through interactive gameplay. This privacy policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Data Collection

AdigaWords does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Specifically:

No account or login required. The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier.
Crash reporting. The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports (stack traces, device model, OS version). No personal identifiers are included. This data helps improve app stability.
Analytics. The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., screen views, session duration). No personal identifiers are collected. The app explicitly removes the Advertising ID (AD_ID) permission.
No advertising frameworks. The app does not include any advertising SDKs.
No location data. The app does not access or request your device location.
No camera, microphone, or contacts. The app does not access any device sensors or personal data on your device.

Network Usage

The app requires an internet connection for a single purpose:

Text-to-Speech (TTS) audio: When you tap a "Play" button to hear the pronunciation of an Adyghe word or sentence, the app sends the text to the Adiga TTS API (adiga.app) to generate an audio file. Only the Adyghe text is sent; no personal or device information is included in these requests.

Audio files received from the TTS API are cached locally on your device to avoid repeated downloads. These cached files remain only on your device and are automatically cleared when you clear the app's cache or uninstall the app.

Data Stored on Device

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

Game settings: Your selected translation language, speaker voice preference, sound effects toggle, and background music toggle (stored in SharedPreferences).
Word database: A pre-loaded dictionary of Adyghe vocabulary (stored in a local Room database).
Audio cache: Downloaded TTS audio files (stored in the app's cache directory).

None of this data is transmitted to any server or third party.

The app communicates with the following external services:

Children's Privacy

AdigaWords does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since the app collects no personal data from any user, it is suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
